As we have been invited by our prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, to reach out and rescue, an account in the New Testament comes to my mind.
I was born in a very small village unknown to the public with no electricity or water supply readily available. The place was called Ban Pong.
Repentance is like the cutter that breaks the chain of sins that ties and strangles our faith.
When I was a kid, my father had a dispute with his brother. Offended, he stopped all contacts with his brother and forbad us to visit him too.
It has often been said in the Church that we speak to God in prayer and He answers back through the scriptures.  As we read, we are privileged to hear Him speaking to us through His Spirit.
In Sept 1972 when I was 17 years old, I was enlisted to the Royal Malaysian Air Force. At that time, I did not fully comprehend its impact on my life as I had to sign a 13 year contract with them. 
Faith in the Living God is a gift of God obtained through belief, obedience and righteous works.
We are sons and daughters of God our Heavenly Father, who loves us and knows our needs. He wants us to communicate with Him through prayer - pray to Him and no one else.
If a hiker slipped, they could fall hundreds of feet.  Fortunately, a metal cable was firmly attached to the mountain for hikers to hold onto as they made their way through that treacherous part of the journey.
