The Compassvale Ward kicked off the “Year of the Rat” with a community service project today (1 February 2020) when its members helped to pack and deliver 250 sets of groceries to residents of Block 350 in Compassvale Road. The event, called “Saviours of Sengkang” was jointly organised by the Al-mawaddah Mosque, AVGMT, Sengkang West GROs and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is the fourth event in the series of “Saviours of Sengkang” projects that the Church has participated.
After the distribution of the groceries, all the volunteers gathered for a Yu Sheng Lo Hei with the Guest of Honour, Dr. Lam Pin Min, Senior Minister of State for Health and Transport.
