Kaylee Anderson returns from her mission (September 2013- March 2015)

Serving in the Singapore Mission, (the country I grew up in) will always be one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I am beyond grateful that I was able to serve the people of Singapore and Malaysia and have the opportunity to preach in Malay, Chinese and English.

I know that the Lord sends us where we need to be at the time we need to be there. One memory that means so much to me was when I was transferred to Kota Kinabalu (Sabah, East Malaysia). I remember being in the plane, as it was about to touch down in Kota Kinabalu and feeling this overwhelming impression that I needed to be there. I felt the Spirit confirm that of all the places I could be in the world, the Lord needed me in Kota Kinabalu. The time I spent there changed my life as I came into contact with some of the most prepared souls I had ever met and together with my companion we reopened the area to Chinese speaking missionaries.

The Lord also sends us, whoever we are now - missionary or non-missionary - to the places we are in. There is always a reason we are somewhere, whether it be to uplift those around us or to learn something new; there is always a reason.

I have seen miracles while being on the Lord's errand. I have also come to learn that to love people is to love God; to serve people is to serve God. To change our lives for the better is to bring our lives closer to the Saviour's life. I don't have to see God to know He lives.

I want the world to know that my Saviour, Jesus Christ LIVES and He loves us. During the most challenging times I learnt that He really does care for us and strengthens us through our trials. This is my testimony of the Saviour written while serving on my mission:

I am grateful for the Saviour because I know He cares,

I am grateful for the Saviour because I know He cares,

Because I know He loves me,
And the trials for me He bears.
When I feel like I am lonely, sick,
And facing all calamity,
I know the Saviour calms the storm,
And through Him I can feel all assurity.

So I close my eyes and bow my head,
And plead with my dear Father,
That all my fears and all my tears,
Will be healed through Christ, my brother.
He comforts me,
He counsels me,

Because I know He loves me,
And the trials for me He bears.
When I feel like I am lonely, sick,
And facing all calamity,
I know the Saviour calms the storm,
And through Him I can feel all assurity.

So I close my eyes and bow my head,
And plead with my dear Father,
That all my fears and all my tears,
Will be healed through Christ, my brother.
He comforts me,
He counsels me,

He lets me know He cares,
He tells me “Just be faithful child, just a moment more and I’ll be there.”

I am grateful for my Saviour because I know he cares,
Because I know He fights with me,
And the constant love for me He shares.

He lets me know He cares,
He tells me “Just be faithful child, just a moment more and I’ll be there.”

I am grateful for my Saviour because I know he cares,
Because I know He fights with me,
And the constant love for me He shares.

As is written in Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
